Good hotel in Jaipur, staff was really nice, food was ok, the room was small but relaxing enough, the area was busy but quiet in the night. Wifi didn't work somtimes. I would recommend this place.
Great hotel and friendly staff, especially the restaurant upstairs. Cute are on the walls, and the best part - itās right across the street from a fancier hotel that has a walk in restaurant with great live music at night.
Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful family run hotel. The staff were fantastic, fixed my TV when it broke. They also had a lovely rooftop restaurant serving great food.
The location was good and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food at the hotel was also quite delicious. The only downside were the small bathrooms.
This is the perfect budget hotel if you want to enjoy your time in Jeipur and not spend too much on the hotel.
The position is quite good and you have cheap Uber everywhere, so that is not a problem.
Also, the hotel has room service and the food is quite nice as well. There is also a rooftop restaurant next to this hotel where you should definitely go to.
Simple and clean hotel located in a quiet residential neighborhood with a pretty good rooftop restaurant with a nice view of Jaipur city and Jaipur metro. It is a family run operation and the owner helped me with information about a local tailor. They were able to accept my international credit card for payments. There are plenty of autos right outside the hotel. For the price, it was a great deal and I would consider revisiting in the future. The wifi worked very well and the view of the ruins of Hathroi fort are an added bonus.
I needed wasted time in reception. In addition, I was requested more time to take picture after reception.
Room facilities are not good. Room light is shortage and hot shower is poor. room was very noisy because kitchen and staff room may be close to accommodation. I felt I had to look another hotel around same location.
Amazing Value: You get more than what you pay for.
I was in Jaipur for about 5 days. Felt totally safe and comfortable here. The food at the rooftop restaurant is okay ( Didn't make me sick! :D ) and the view from the roof is spectacular -- I thought it was a really great place to hang out and drink tea in the morning, check out the birds. One morning I saw peacocks walking around on the fort ( which is smaller than it seems online, but drivers in town still usually knew where it was ). Ajmer Road has banks, ATMs, convenient stores that are walking distance from the hotel. Some cons: on my last morning, I actually got locked in my room. The key-locks are pretty old fashion and my room wouldn't unlock from the inside. I had to call the front desk and slide my key under the door. Also, (not the hotel's fault exactly) but prepare to be really hustled by the auto drivers outside. I once called an uber scooter, and he refused to take me after being surrounded my auto drivers who shouted something at him in Hindi as soon as he arrived. It was sketchy. They're really pushy and were rude to the women I was with. That was honestly the worst part: having to deal with those guys every time I left in the morning.
We spent four nights in Jaipur and loved the city, and the hotel was a large part of that. The staff are beyond lovely, and we were happy to see in the New Year with some of them and their wonderful dancing!
The stay was very good. We wanted an early check-in and an early checkout. The host made it available for us at no extra cost. The rooms were extremely clean and the roof top restaurant is just too good. The locality is just 10 mins from the railway station. We were also given a free upgrade for the rooms. Overall a very very good experience!
We arrived at the Chitrakatha in the evening and from the moment we walked in it seemed that they wanted to charge us more money. We booked a "mountain view room" for 3 and when we got there they said that they didn't have the room. They tried to put us in a small dorm room with 4 single beds and no window and a screen door which provided no privacy. This room was dirty and clearly much cheaper than the price we paid. When we complained the owner told us that the room we saw on the website (the one I booked) had A/C and that if we wanted it we had to pay more. I found this extremely unfair because I had already booked our room in full. We finally paid the extra fee and went to the room which was better but not by much. It was still a bit dirty and it faced the street so it was very noisy. Everyday there was a man throwing up somewhere in the vicinity and you could hear it very violently. The location is ok but isn't safe to walk alone at night. The complimentary breakfast almost isn't worth the trouble either.
We didn't find anyone super friendly or helpful and it was a bit disappointing for our stay in Jaipur.
Nice hotel, great spacious room with a very nice staff. only drawback is itās over a mile to old town gates and further to sites. Resturants in the area are all hotels; however, they are all located on the various roofs of the hotels often with live music. Good food and reasonable prices. The actual hotel restaurant is alright for breakfast.
