This place is so cozy and relaxing - all the little details were very much appreciated. If you are looking for a boutique-style lodge and not a generic hotel, this is place! The location is great, too.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Such a vibe! Friendly and helpful staff. This quaint mountain retreat is full of thoughtful details that make it feel cozy, almost like home. You can get wine in the lobby or bring your own. They even thought to include a wine opener in your room. Having a fireplace right in our room, an amazing showerhead, K-cup coffee, snacks, drinks, and a TV made it tempting never to leave. The light breakfast available each morning and the cozy lobby hangout added to the welcoming atmosphere. But the outdoor fireplaces, cozy seating areas, and even a fireside movie under the stars made the experience even more memorable. The town was super cute too and we loved having dinner and drinks at their sister property, HmH. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back!

If you are looking to a truly unique experience while staying in Highlands, NC. this inn is a must. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Such an amazing job of decorating the rooms. Truly one of the best hotel/inn experiences we have ever had.

Our room was exactly as it was advertised to us. The room was very clean, comfortable and decorated very cute. Thank you for accepting our fur baby, we will definitely consider your Inn during our next visit. Liked the fact that you are within walking distant to the shops and restaurants oh Highlands.

Cool vibes and cozy, yet spacious rooms. Lots of attention to details. Conveniently located just beyond Main Street, but not in the thick of the crowds. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for something unique and not your average stay!

Loved Outpost Inn; highly recommend and can't imagine staying anywhere else in town -- incredible vibe, great coffee shop and wine bar, lots of cute spots to sit inside and outside. It felt like the place in town when all the younger, cooler (young meaning, 50 and under, ha) hang out. I loved my room, which was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the free drip coffee in the mornings. And wow, the weather in Highlands can't be beat in the summer.

I have literally NEVER stayed somewhere more perfect. The property was beautiful and it seemed like every single little detail was thought of. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was out of this world amazing, the common spaces provided an excellent third space to just read and exist. Cannot wait to head back to the area just so I can stay here again and again.

Really cool 60's vibe. Rock band pictures, peace signs everywhere. It really oozed peace and love throughout. We grew up in the 60's so it really took us back in time. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Location is very close to downtown. Great!

This property is well located. Outskirts of town but still walkable. Nice coffee shop on site. Staff is friendly. Our room was small but nice and clean. Very comfortable king bed! The place has a 1970’s kind of vibe. Older property but rooms have been nicely restored on the inside. Cozy lobby with fireplace and outdoor firepits. Fun experience! Reasonably priced.

The property was very welcoming to myself, my wife, and our dog! Methodical Coffee onsite in the lobby was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend the Outpost Inn to anyone looking for a great place in Highlands!
