Having rated this place it is good for the money. The management is honest and helpful as I lefty my license there and they kept it for me to pick up. Good and convenient location. I would go back.

My stay..

Very nice staff. Parking a bit full on peak day (Saturday). Very clean set up in room. Shower a little small. Overall nice experience would stay again. Also around a lot of local attractions and beach.

The location is great, 5min walk to the water. Nice shop s all around walking distance. Because the location is so ideal. I could handle the occasional weird smells and ghetto rigged kitchen..can't beat 100$ a night for a family suite by the beach. If they updated and did a bit of deep cleaning they would be good. Super busy though, they were booked.

It is really inexpensive. The location is close to San Diego enough and also close to the ocean. The walls are thin. My neighbor woke us all up at 5:30 am by watching cartoons.

Saw a mouse the first night. Probably unavoidable this close to the ocean. Kept food away after that, had no other issues at all.

Met expectations

The pros: --comfortable bed --free wifi --access to beach --relatively inexpensive --heavy curtains to block out light --working AC --large, flat panel, cable TV The cons: --the bathroom (e.g. shower head is waist high; no light in shower) --the decor (brown, yellow, and terrible curtains) Overall: The rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade, but they have made improvements where it counts (comfy bed, free wifi). Would stay there again.

It was dirty. The hot water in the sink did not work. It’s fall, cold out, and the room has no heat. No housekeeping. This place is garbage.

Absolutely not the best place to stay. I checked in my room and had to clean my room with Lysol. I was shocked to how dark the rag came out cleanliness is not a priority. The bathroom sink had a leak and had a towel wrapped around the pipe to seal it. Fruit flys all over the bathroom ceiling. The shower drain was backed up and took forever to go down. If you get room 118 asked to be moved to a different one.

As an avid traveler I can understand the occasional not so clean room or the missing soaps...but this place was one of the NASTIEST rooms I have ever stayed in my LIFE!! Dirty floors the dirtiest tub I have ever experienced rats and possums in the trash area. I'm pretty sure the extension cords running thru the walls to power up the AC may be in some cod enforcement handbook as unsafe. I had to shower twice just to try and feel semi clean before my drive home. Walls are black with dirt and the plaster is peeling off the walls as quickly as the rotting wood on the doors. The cleaning crew was questionable at the least and their goal was definitely not to scrub, Privacy oh yeah you can skip that, the drapes are that of a shear lacy material on some Rickity hardware that falls off the wall at the moment you even try to adjust. I honestly can't see how HOTELS.com would even recommend such a horrible place to rest. I would've taken more pictures, but I needed to get home to disinfect. Safe Travels All Pay a Little More or Shop Accordingly.

No hot water, only like warm with only hot water turned on. Room smelled like smoke. Not clean, shower was slimy and had tiles missing from around the drain. Parking was very tight. Car in handicap parking without tags. They didn’t make up the room or give us fresh towels. Got up every hour to check on my vehicle, didn’t feel safe. Only stayed to attend a wedding.

I checked into a room and found 4 cockroaches in the shower. Immediately went to the office and was given a key for a new room. Upon enter this one had 3 cockroaches on the wall. Furthermore I saw bloodstains and burn marks in the carpet. The guy working the desk was nice. Although he didn't seem surprised at all!
