We booked the executive room with lounge access, 2 hour drinks package with canapes, unfortunately we arrived on xmas day & upon checkin were advised due to liquor licensing laws they couldnt serve alcohol unless we bought a full meal. We were not advised in advance otherwise i would not have paid the $90 for the upgrade. We had just had a main meal on our flight, so did not want another one, or pay the average cost of $50 a meal plus 15% surcharge for public holiday. When asked if could get a refund, was only offered $28, then told we would have to pay $35 each. They gave us 2 vouchers each for 2 soft drinks at the bar in place of alcohol, which could have got myself from the executive lounge, the canapes platter was just average. There was no body wash in the room, or any drinks in the bar fridge only long life milk & 2 still waters & there was no sparkling water in the lounge, for the price you pay it is not really up to 5 stars
