**A lovely, welcoming stay.** The hostess was really friendly, and the room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The location was ideal for the Portsmouth ferry, about a 15-minute walk, with a supermarket, Wetherspoons and plenty of places to eat nearby. The only minor drawback was the temporary breakfast room, which was a little cramped while the main room is being converted. We'd happily stay here again.

I stopped here for one night so I could get an early start for Goodwood FOS, the room was clean and the staff were friendly. My room had an en suite with toilet and shower and there were breakfast items available down the hallway, though I didn't have time. There was a slight mix up were I was asked to pay on arrival but I had already paid in advance, however this was quickly rectified and I was refunded. Overall a good budget friendly option for Goodwood events as well as being close to Portsmouth. There is parking available at the rear, although I parked on the street with no issues.

The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed.
