We booked two rooms with four people per room and were told that the rooms included free breakfast. When we arrived they shifted and said that no, only one free breakfast per room despite the fact that the occupancy of the room was four. They then gave us “coupons” for their restaurant but only two coupons, good for a maximum of two meals. So now what we thought was an reasonably-priced room with free breakfast was turned into two free breakfasts, four slightly-discounted breakfasts at their overpriced restaurant, and two additional expensive breakfasts with no discount at all. We are travelling with a big group, and convenience and affordability are important to us.
Additionally we inquired whether a slightly later check out would be possible due to the fact that we were travelling with six children. For context, we often make this request when we are on road trips, and without exception hotels have been very accomadating. The response, rather than “I’m sorry, that’s we don’t offer that option” or “that’s not our policy”, was instead “If you check out even one minute past 11am, you will be charged $20”. The response was terse and rude, and only served to reinforce the bad impression that we had already received.
I do not know how this establishment has received “exceptional” ratings. We were extremely disappointed.
We will not be back.
