Room was very clean. Rapid check in and very well located. Substantial breakfast. Two things occured which kept me from rating my stay higher. At check in, I asked to be placed on the third floor. I did this because certain hotels have very poor noise buffers between floors. The young man at the desk did not honor my request and informed me he had placed me in the second floor. This was done despite the fact that there were only two cars in the lot upon arrival, and six, the following morning. It was also a Sunday arrival and Tuesday departure. For my two night stay, I was treated to loud footfalls and a strange crackling, crunching sound coming from the room above. This was why I had requested the top floor. It would behoove the management to have thick foam placed under the carpet to lessen the audible discomfort. I didn't pay over $250 for this.
Another issue was the TV remote. The guide button didn't work. I noticed someone had penned instructions for the guide at the top of the channel chart. This didn't remedy the situation. The young man at the desk came to my room and didn't have any success with the written instructions, either. Please thank this young man for not contributing in a positive manner to the issues I brought to him.
