When you book the fortress suite on a single or non family basis your room has no windows! A ceiling glass sheds daylight. Since the hotel is built into a centuries old fortress the walls of the room smell accordingly. Staff sweet and helpful. Location is superb, opposite busy touristy Valetta.

All staff were excellent but Nena at breakfast was absolutely brilliant and thoughtful. Beautiful location perfect for exploring and catching the ferry to Valletta. It may be easier to list what did not stand out at this hotel! The hotel builds effortlessly on its old roots and merges historic architecture with all the amenities expected in an amazing hotel. The staff were professional and friendly at check in and throughout our stay. The room was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family. Having a kitchenette in the room made taking care of the baby so much easier. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with options for every taste. It was easy to walk to many sites and restaurants.
