The hotel is being renovated, but not noisy. The room was very clean, reasonably priced. Close to Jim Thorpe, where we spent a few days on the trail and in town. Hotels in Jim Thorpe are very expensive, so I was glad to see the Mahoning Inn was reasonable.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the front desk staff and they were helpful to recommend places to eat at or visit while visiting Jim thorpe area The room was very clean and many amenities like soap shampoo were in bathroom. Luckily the room I had wasn’t facing the main road but in the rear where it was quiet at night. Hotel is literally accessible to uber and Lyft driver to take u into Jim Thorpe which I made use of.

The room looked rather old, but it was clean and comfortable. One issue was the minimal number of electric outlets in the room. There was no outlet adjacent to the desk, and one of the two outlets to the right of the bed did not work. Also, the numbering of the rooms is not in sequence and very confusing. All of the rooms should be renumbered so that they run in sequence.
