The facilities were fine. Some businesses nearby, but there's not like a 24-hour CVS or anything, and there is no bottled water in the room, so make sure you bring a filtered water bottle or get water before you settle in for the night.

The location of this place is very convenient, close to everything, within walking distance. Helpful, friendly staff. clean room. The building itself is old, historic, and a bit run-down, with no amenities. But I booked a week for a business trip at a reasonable price and am happy with what I got. They have the rooms renovated at least, so you get a comfortable, clean place to stay after all. I would consider this place if you are on a budget. You get what you need. Reading the reviews before I arrived, I panicked a bit, but it is actually a comfortable place for a 3-star hotel.

I would rate my stay a 3.5. First, the cost to stay in downtown DC was unbeatable. The staff was wonderful, the hotel and especially the room was CLEAN - like I was very happy with the cleanliness, the rooms were a good size, and there was always coffee, tea, and water in the lobby. The hotel is a historic building, so it's both old and cool. One must know that this is not a modern hotel. My concerns with with my hot water and the noise from the window unit. I would still recommend this hotel and hopefully, someone wouldn't expect high-end amenities at a lower price point.
