Es ist ein kleines, ruhiges und sauberes Hotel an einer Bergwiese in ca. 700m Höhe mit Sicht ins "Fränchische". Hier kocht der Chef selbst und gut. Auch draußen wurde an überdachten, rustikalen Bauernmöbeln freundlich serviert. Das Früstücksbufet ist einfach, aber liebevoll angerichtet und ausreichend. Vom Hotel haben wir Wanderungen in die Höhe des Thüringerwaldes unternommen und mit dem Auto zu interessanten Museen in Coburg, Rödental und Sonneberg aufgesucht.

Sehr ruhig und landschaftlich schön gelegenes Hotel. Frühstücksbüffet recht übersichtlich, geringes Angebot an Gemüse (Tomaten, Gurke usw.) An einem Abend gegen 23 Uhr kein warmes Wasser zum Duschen mehr vorhanden, ein Zustand, wie ich ihn eigentlich nur von Billig-Campingplätzen in Tschechien kenne.

Passendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis inkl.Frühstück

Auf der Durchreise mit unseren Kindern haben wir in dem geräumigen und freundlichen 4-Bett Zimmer sehr gut geschlafen, das Hotel liegt abgelegen oberhalb von Eisfeld, 10 Autominuten entfernt. Da wir erst nach 20Uhr anreisen konnten, wurde uns telefonisch und per SMS ein Zugangscode für den Außentresor mitgeteilt, in dem sich der Hausschlüssel befand. Unser Zimmer war leicht zu finden- mit Minibar ausgestattet, der Fitnessraum zugängig, die Sauna hätte auf Wunsch vorab vorgeheizt werden können. Frühstück über Schautafel klar von 8-10 Uhr definiert, wir haben diesen Abend keinen Service benötigt, an anderen Tagen hat zudem das integrierte Restaurant geöffnet. Frühstücksbuffet mit viel Aufschnitt und Käse und Brotsorten, Eiern/ 3Rühreier 2,50€ extra, Müsli und Jogurt aus Bechern, sowie Dosenobstsalat und -hering und nachgereichtem frischen Kaffee. Die freundliche Dame erkundigte sich mehrmals nach weiteren Wünschen und wickelte die Bezahlung zügig ab.

Out of the way hunting lodge

We booked this accomodation and noticed there was a message to phone 30 minutes before arrival- we thought that meant if we were arriving outside the posted reservation desk hours.(till 9pm) They were not expecting us when we got there at 8.30pm - we felt uncomfortable walking into the restaurant/ reservation desk in the middle of a party. It was very clean and had a great breakfast.

Sehr nettes Land/ Berghotel!

Sehr schöne Gegend, freundlicher Service, riesengrosse Zimmer mit Blick auf das weite Grüne. Insgesamt ein sehr nettes, gemütliches Landhotel. Von Coburg innerhalb von 20 Autominuten leicht zu erreichen. Da das Hotel aber familienbetrieben wird, ist die telefonische Erreichbarkeit manchmal etwas langsam. Ansonsten kann ich nur empfehlen!
