I like the place. The only thing and they should take care is when rains the water gets trough the window curtains and when I shower the water gets out of the bathroom through the front door. If I go back to Singapore I will go to your hotel again. Thanks

Good: -Price -Basic room amenities Bad: -Poor service (front desk staff ignored me) -AC is centrally controlled (room was freezing) -Bathroom had a horrible smell Would not stay again.

We will definitely be back, The only down-side was the adjacent guests having no concept others sleeping when they have an early start, having lack of controlling their children running up and down the hallways and yelling; grown-ups were no better; talking across to each other to rooms opposite each other. I am pretty sure you have a quiet-time.

Location is close to airport, cost abt SD20 using taxi from airport. The room is very small. It has window that cannot be opened for fresh air. The bathroom was very stinky and the AC was centrally controlled by the front desk and it was freezing cold. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel.

Disappointed, bed bites and non clean enough.

The second night stay , my daughter 12 yo got bed bites… and then we complained and checked and change room, but the condition not much better as we found small cockroach and the basin (underneath) so dirty. See pictures.

Hotel 81 Changi is what it is: a budget hotel. Do not expect anything but a place to sleep. The rooms are small but adequate. No issues with the beds or the room service. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but I think that was because of a Crain on the floor. There is a bath and handheld shower. There was no shower curtain, and the main bathroom floor was a wet room floor. They expect "spillage" from the shower, thus the main drain. Good area and good local food all around, including a coffee stall. Good transport links. A bus stop right outside, and MRT is pretty close. I found it pleasant to stay there.

The hotel location is good, just near the airport and 20 minutes away from station going to universal studio. There’s a restaurant right beside it so we could buy delicious food from there. We checked in past 1am and had room immediately ready. Be warned, the hotel is old, they still use the actual key instead of access card to open doors. The lock from inside was broken too. But we just slept there so it didn’t matter. It was the quickest checkout we ever had. Once we gave them keys, that’s it ! You’re good to go! No checking the room needed.

The property is poorly furnished. The safety lock is missing without repairing. (Some other parts in the room are also lack of maintenance.I need to tie up the door knob with luggage strap to ensure safety at night. There is a kind of bad smell with the undried bedsheet . I saw a tiny black bug walking on the pillow .Luckily I only lived for 2 nights. Some positive areas are good water pressure and near MRT station.

The staff were friendly, and the facilities were reasonable... But the room had cockroaches!!! It was not noticeably unclean, but I encountered 3 different cockroaches, including one which crawled up my neck in the night - not a restful experience at all.

The hotel and room were clean, though very basic and quite small. It's suitable for solo travellers. Several restaurants are nearby, and the MRT station is about a 10-minute walk away. Reception staff were serious but efficient. Not recommended for families.

Cheap hotel no thrills whatsoever.

Hotel is in a predominently Muslim area. Please be advised of this. Also room service and house keeping are not done on a daily basis. You will find yourself having to request clean towels as they are frequently changed.
