This motel is quite old. The rooms were simple and generally clean upon arrival. However, I have a couple of complaints. I was there for three nights (Th/Fr/Sa), and not once was my room made up. I saw the housekeeper on my way out Friday mid-morning, who was cleaning the room next to mine. I assumed she would clean my room, especially since she saw us leave. She did not. I came back around 4:15pm and noticed that the room was as I had left it (not made up). I asked the front desk girl (who was very nice) if I had to put the sign on the door that says "Please make up this room" in order for it to be made up, or if it was supposed to happen automatically. She said that it should have been cleaned automatically, but that the housekeeper had left for the day. She also said that she would put a note in the system to make sure the room was made up the following day (Saturday). When I was leaving for the day on Saturday, I specifically put the "Please make up this room" sign on the doorknob outside my room. When I came back to the room at 7pm, I noticed that the sign had been switched to "Do not disturb" ... and my room was not made up (again). The switching of the sign was not necessarily the motel's fault (or maybe it was... could have been a lazy housekeeper); it's impossible to know.
The other major complaint that I have is that the walls are SUPER thin. I could hear everything, and it was quite distracting and disturbing (babies crying, footsteps above, etc.).
