Charming older building in central Porto, close to the river and several attractions. Stayed here from Friday to Tuesday.
The house feels a bit cramped but appears to be relatively renovated on the inside. We checked in late via phone and door code without any issues.
The standard room we stayed in was small and only had a window facing a shaft at the back, so natural light was limited. The stone walls added charm. The AC and fridge worked well.
Everything necessary was provided, such as towels, shower products, and a hairdryer. However, the towels had signs of long time use and should be replaced.
One thing worth noting is that the room cleaning could be improved, dirt in corners and edges, and some spiderweb in some places.
The bed linens need to be replaced—there were holes in them. The pillows and duvets showed clear signs of long time use, so if you’re sensitive, avoid looking too closely for stains…
Breakfast consisted of bread, coffee, juice, fruit, and a sweet soft cake. It was tasty! The girls working there were friendly!
A simple place if you need an overnight stay and want to be close to the city. If you have higher expectations for accommodation, comfort and around the clock service - this might not be the place for you.
