The Place is under construction. I picked this place for the convenience of the amenities (geothermal baths, sauna, cold plunge, etc) so we would not have to travel anywhere and get to relax. With the place still under construction the amenities were not available. They did offer to send us to a geothermal facility 30 minutes away and offered to take us there and pay for it but we already went to that facility. We asked to get reimbursed for the geothermal facility which they refused. We asked to get reimbursed for stay and that was refused as well. We made the best of things and the place will be beautiful when complete but the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.

We had an amazing stay! This is an amazing property that we highly recommended. The staff, including the two residents dogs, are incredibly friendly, the food was great, and we can not say enough great things regarding our stay. Do yourself a favour, and stay at least two nights here.

Incredible stay. tranquility abounds, best way to end a trip after a week exploring Iceland. Believe the online reviews when they say this is the best hotel in Iceland. This was our third hotel and by far the most comfortable and indulgent of all.

Home away from home

This is one of my favorite places on earth. It’s my splurge stay and only wish I could stay a week. I love Anna, her food, style, dogs and compassion for others.

Fabulous hotel. The property is beautiful, staff super friendly and our dinner delicious. Lovely breakfast included. The hotel has its own hot spring with hot tubs and sauna which we enjoyed despite the less than perfect weather. This is a great place to relax and unwind after a day of seeing the sights.

The hotel was wonderful, both in location and the ameneties. Food was excellent with a great choice of breakfasts avaialable, which are consumed while looking out across the beautiful scenery. Thermal pools and hot tubs are an added bonus and a lovely place to take in the surroundings. Overall a brilliant experience!

Excellent owners and staff that make the stay memorable. The geothermal pool and spa are fantastic. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Hotel is remote, which makes it an excellent base for seeing the Northern Lights. But also easy to travel to other parts of the South Coast.
