Our flight was cancelled due to weather and we needed 2 rooms (6 people) for a short night mid January 2026. Booked last minute and as a last cause as availability was low close to the airport. Once we arrived we were provided a room that smelled like smoke/smoke still lingering in the room- so bad that it actually made us nauseous. Never mind that all rooms are non smoking! We asked for a room change - the next room we were given was unlocked, and dirty- beds unmade, garbage in the waste bin, towels on the floor! We asked for a clean, non smoke filled room- we were given a room that was not big enough to accommodate the guests, paint and wallpaper pealing off the walls with visible mold & again unlocked (many of the rooms digital lock system were not functioning). The 4th room was finally acceptable- this process took well over an hour, us lugging our suitcases/people from one room to the next and back to the lobby. The MOTEL would benefit from updating, proper functioning door locking system and an organized cleaning system - the front staff should know clean/dirty rooms so the rooms are not given to new clientele!
The poor young gentleman working the front desk was dealing with a lot and tried his best to help us, he was also being harassed by an unruly guest, we felt terrible asking for basic appropriate clean rooms. He was patient and really did his best to help us- the man needs a raise!
However- we would still NOT recommend the motel at its current state!
