I had a very disappointing experience at The MC Hotel, Autograph Collection.
I booked a two-night stay but was forced to leave after just one night due to the conditions of my room. I was placed on what appeared to be a fully operational amenity floor, and it was extremely loud—so much so that I was unable to sleep at all. To make matters worse, I was assigned a handicap-accessible room without prior notice, which felt like an oversight given availability should have allowed for a better fit.
When I checked out early, the front desk associate assured me that I would only be charged for one night and advised me to follow up with Hotels.com. Unfortunately, that turned into a frustrating cycle of back-and-forth, with each party redirecting me to the other. Eventually, Hotels.com went above and beyond to advocate on my behalf—but the hotel ultimately denied any adjustment.
What’s most disappointing is the lack of accountability and customer care. After a 7-hour airport delay, we arrived exhausted, even shared our late-night food with the concierge, and still received a subpar experience in return. Being charged nearly $600 for a stay where I couldn’t even sleep—and had to leave early—is incredibly frustrating.
Between the noise, the room placement, and the poor handling of a simple billing issue, this experience fell far below expectations. I would not return, nor would I recommend this property based on how this situation was handled.
