Having stayed at this hotel in the past and really enjoyed it, I have to say I am very disappointed with our last stay. The Hoxton website FAQs make it seem like they are prepared to host families with children, but based on our experience, they are not. I let the hotel know we needed a crib in our room and we were arriving very late to the hotel, when we checked in, there was no crib in our room and the gentleman who came to set it up, made me shuffle all of our luggage with a crying baby at 1 o’clock in the morning to get the crib where it needed to be— which is why we asked for the crib to be in the room when we got there. Also none of the other “kid amenities” were offered to us.
The water station in the hallway was also broken on our floor so it took forever to fill up the carafe provided in the room. And the shower design is horrible and flooded the bathroom.
If you are a solo traveler, the room is probably fine size wise, but for two people and a baby it was cramped! We were also traveling with friends and the hotel lobby is not a lobby at all. It’s a restaurant and to be in the space you have to be purchasing something. There is nowhere for hotel guest to just exist outside of their room.
For how expensive the hotel is, I expected more and I don’t expect we will come back. I think we could have gotten a similar priced hotel with a better setup overall.
