Very clean rooms, certainly much better than big motel chains. The check in lady was also quick and responsive.

AC did not work and could not fix it so or move us. Had no AC the whole trip. No maintenance on duty. I would not stay there again and will get a better hotel in the next town and drive the next miles.

Convenient to downtown. Beds are very comfortable and it’s pretty quiet. It is an old building but room was clean.

Horrible Marketing!!!

We were told by Hotel.com that dogs were allowed. A sign in the hotel yard said "pets must be on leash." Item #5 on registration form said pets are allowed. When we tried to check in we were told pets are not allowed and rejected our our reservation. Lou was on the front desk and she was very new and had to call the manager. I was able to speak with the manager and she was hostile and rude. Lou was awesome. We had to drive another hour and a half to Pueblo, CO to obtain lodging after an already 12 hour day. Would not recommend this motel to anyone!!!

Have stayed here before. Forgot that jail was right behind hotel. ZERO problems with that, still felt safe. That is why I choose this location. Location is only one (1) block off of main road. Easy in, easy out. Staff attentive. Would stay here again.

Clean and well maintained value

This was a very nicely maintained older property. It had some retro styling, and my room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was super clean, and the shower was excellent. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner worked great. The room was nicely appointed with good toiletries and coffee service. The associate that assisted me at check-in was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She also informed me that they had a Korean restaurant, and the menu items looked great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for a good value in La Junta.

Let me start by saying there were many positives about our 3 night stay, as I have noted. The staff were friendly and accommodating, it was quiet and clean. It's unfortunate that I have to give an overall rating of 2. When traveling, the most important need is a good night's sleep. The bed was TERRIBLE. In addition to the worn out sag, it was a pillow top mattress, making it a struggle to get in an out of, let alone finding a comfortable way to lay. The worst 3 night's sleep ever. As I had prepaid, stayed rather than go thru the hassle of trying to get refund.

We didn’t get the room we paid for (two queen beds) we got full beds. The reservation was messed up so she needed to charge us for more people which was fine but then she haggled the price with us when we didn’t even have the room we originally paid for. She said the room we were in couldn’t sleep the amount of people we had so when I said give us the room we paid for she said she’d lower the price if we kept the room. There was throw up stains all over the carpet and the blankets were dirty. The couch that was in the room was also covered in stains. The only positive thing is it is right next to the sheriffs station.

Avoid At All Costs!!!!

Avoid this motel at all costs!!!! I booked a room through Hotels.com. I arrived at the motel to check in...they did not want to honor the reservation by saying "they do not use/honor/partner with any online booking companies - even though they received my reservation??. They then tried to charge me rack rate, which was way more than the rate I booked at. And they didn't budge and they were very rude! So I left and went 2 minutes down the street to the La Junta Inn where I was welcomed with great customer service by Cynthia. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and it was a better rate. I highly recommend avoiding the Midtown Motel at all costs and book a room at the La Junta Inn if you're ever passing through La Junta!

This is an old, simple, clean motel. The rooms are adequate, outdated, clean, and very reasonably priced. It seems like many of the reviews here expect the Broadmoor for $65 a night. The free continental breakfast is simple but nice, and the staff is very friendly.

This is an old western style motel. There are some upgrades to an older building. Girl at check in was very helpful. The price is right for bed and shower. A breakfast is provided, but I left early. Comfortable bed, TV, refrig and microwave. Nothing fancy but fine with me for one night.
