"what a beautiful and charming little hotel. everything was lovely and staying right in the centre of ikd town in a place built in the 16th century was superb. Agathe, the hostess attended to any needs, breakfast was perfect and the room was very large even by American standards. Parking is about 50 meters away in a very large underground public lot. The castle is maybe 150 meters away and the town center maybe 100 meters. Can't wait ti return to Angers and stay here again. "

"The entire team at Markus were fantastic, very supportive and accommodating to all needs. The Markus is centrally located, close to the train station and easy to get around. If our travels take us back through Angers we'll be looking to book here again."
"With the hotel still being renovated, the staff is very friendly, the room is very clean (but please repair the bathroom wall under the sink) and quiet (close to the road) due to the double, double windows (however, net curtains hinder opening the windows a bit). Location of hotel within walking distance of the station - really great! Breakfast is excellent, giving you a good start to your day!"
"This is an excellent small hotel, close to the train station, to shops and to restaurants. I was lucky enough to have a great view from the window. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless and well proportioned. I did not have the breakfast but it looked ample."

We had a delightful time staying here. Personally, I like staying near the historic city center in a historic building. There was no air conditioning, but with windows open we were fine despite a heat wave while we were there. Staff was very kind, helping us plan our activities while in Angers. I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again.
Delightful hotel with wonderful breakfast. Beautiful period decorations combined with modern, spacious bathroom. Friendly, helpful and communicative host. Great location.
Hotel was a surprise. Looked like someone's palatial home and not a Best Western. Located on a spacious boulevard in the lovely little city of Anger, France.
The stay was great. The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of town. Management here is superb. There were some changes that I needed to make and they fell into the change/cancellation window without penalty. Hotels.com was completely unhelpful and kept trying to stonewall me but the management at the hotel was incredibly helpful and they worked with their own contact at hotels.com to help me resolve the issue and make the necessary changes. I can't thank them enough.
This is not your usual hotel. This is more like a home. The hostest greeted me when I arrived as a long lost friend and it just got better from there. The room was very nice and had a kitchy decor. My room had a window that you could see the river from. This is not a chain hotel but a home that you will feel at home in. Also, do yourself a favor and get dinner at her place as well.
This property is gorgeous! The staff is very helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. The petit dejeuner is delicious and a great way to start the day. Access to the chateaû is very easy. The are per se is beautiful and the view from the terrace is amazing.
The rooms are super clean and comfortable, and the tower drying racks are something I would like to add in my house.
