"The room was small and nothing fancy, but was super comfortable with great air conditioning. The view was AMAZING! Our room had an outdoor patio area that was magical. This hotel is fantastic! The balcony view of the Tuscan landscape and the Basilica was incredible. The twin bed was adequate and fit the theme of staying at a former monastery. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel has a chapel inside (it was a monastery) and that was an added treat. The main churches were easily accessible. I cannot imagine staying at a more beautiful place in Assisi than this hotel!
Hotel Sole was a complete surprise. We booked budget friendly accommodations that were simple, but this place was super clean, well appointed with a surprising amount of space for a 4 person family room in Europe! The shower had good water pressure and stayed hot for 4 showers, the bathroom was small but had everything we needed. To top it off the location was incredible! Assisi is billing but this is one of the “flatter” areas great access to seeing all of the sites and close to the Bus A...
Such a nice and helpful man runs this Bnb and such wonderful guests i met at breakfast! Great location as well, close to Matteotti bus stop- only a few minutes walk- with buses to both the train and airport for 2-5 euros!
It was a great stay and we loved the resident cat! The only problem we had was the inconsistency with WiFi. Anyone who needs total access at all times should not stay here. Otherwise I would have given a + rating.
Assisi was one of our favorite places to visit in Italy and we highly recommend for all to stay here. Note: town closes down by 8:30-9:00pm. Oh almost forgot they have parking and the bus stops are right close to hotel!
Francesco was a great host. Every morning we had fresh croissants for breakfast, and he was quick on getting back to our inquiries via WhatsApp. Assisi is magical, and we hope to return soon.
This accommodation tops ALL the places we’ve stayed in Italy. The staff are gracious and so hospitable. Incredibly welcoming. The room, building, the terraces…all first class. Breakfast in the morning was bountiful and delicious. I recommend Portica 10 absolutely!!!

Sitting in the hot tub amidst the ruins of a Roman amphitheater was beyond all great travel experiences.
Excellent chef, with a respectful eye towards organic and local tradition. Restaurant is a bit expensive, but far superior to the tourist restaurants in the center. Beautiful breakfast buffet, homemade pastries, and bread like bread should be made.
The experience is worth every penny.
We hit the jackpot when we found Brunelli! Very conveniently located, the rooms were spotless and the staff (Alisia) was great. Several excellent restaurants nearby and the breakfast has a nice variety to choose from.
If you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you but Assisi is hard on anyone with mobility issues.
Our stay was extraordinary. It was our third time in Assisi and we decided to explore this remodeled Palazzo. Centrally located in town and just a few minutes walking from the center plaza. You can walk to all the important sites, stores and restaurants from this property. The staff at the Palazzo treated us so nicely and were so attentive to our every need for our family of 8 (including a baby ) during our 5 day stay. We are so grateful to Herminia, Rita and all of the others that took care of...
What a VIEW! we had room 26 with a cutely decorated balcony facing the valley with a gorgeous bell tower standing guard. it was so peaceful Three minutes easy walk into town with dining, shopping and sites to see. The owners made us feel like family. Everyone so happy and friendly. Fantastic breakfast. Rooms were very up to date and artistically decorated. Would love to go there again!
My wife and I stayed at the hotel and have nothing but great things to say about it! The staff are professionals, super kind and courteous, the breakfast was amazing, and it’s just outside the inner city wall of Assissi! Total walking distance to everything! Great time and experiences!
