My wife and I stayed one night at the motel and thought it was great. Very stylish and clean. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of surfaces for us to spread out and also to eat food we had brought. We arrived much later than expected, but Harry was extremely welcoming anyway. I had sprained my ankle on a hike that afternoon, and Harry was so thoughtful and genuinely concerned about me. If we’re ever in Nelson again, we definitely will stay with him.

Very nice accommodation close to downtown and movie theatre - delicious dinner riverside at the hotel restaurant. Parking was a little tight, street spots are available. Shower was AMAZING! Great water pressure. FYI : there is no elevator to the second floor if this is an important requirement for your travel, make sure you request a ground floor room.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast, and the two owners (Mark and John) are amazing hosts, that do everything to ensure you have a great experience. Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this Quest hotel in a 1 bedroom apartment during our trip to Nelson this Spring. Everything here felt practically brand new - carpeting, fixtures were modern and nice, really comfortable bed, nice kitchen, bathroom, and laundry in room. Definitely worth the price we paid for the upgraded room. It was in a great location for access to tons of restaurants, cafes, shops, and Christ Church, and just a small walk to the marina. Kiwis are known for being neat and clean The Palms Motel excelled by being both beautiful and clean motel.The reception people were charming. We had a second floor room which had a balcony with a table and chairs (nice view of the pool).As always in NZ were provided with fresh milk for coffee an enjoyable Kiwi tradition. Nice kitchenette wish we could have stayed a week. Our whole Nelson experience has us interested in returning for an extensive tour of the South Island. Breathtakingly...

The reception and continual help with any of our questions was excellent! Definitely would stay there again!!

Fraser, the owner, was most helpful on what to see in Nelson. He pointed me to The Center of New Zealand. An upward climb to the top but well worth the views. There's onsite laundry, which was most helpful.

The little kitchen area was nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site and it was very good. The little pizza place a block or so away was fantastic. The laundry room was perfect and soap was included. The beds were comfortable and even with open windows it was quiet. The early morning birdsong was lovely. This hotel is nicer than the pictures and description!

We enjoyed staying here - the room was spacious, as was the kitchenette and bathroom. It's a bit out of town, which is fine if you have a car. It's near the road, so there is some traffic noise, didn't bother us but may bother others.

Staff was quick to respond and very accommodating to our late arrival. Very comfy beds and quiet area.
