"The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a lovely older style building with individual feel and was great value. We were interrailing so hotel is handily situated between the station and the town centre. It was a little noisy at night so would recommend earplugs."

"The room was beautifully appointed, with the bathroom and changing area well separated from the sleeping area. The balcony gave a nice view of nearby architecture. The location of the hotel was in walking distance to the main Republic plaza, dining, and the Palais des Beaux Arts. The Citadel park, also in walking distance, served as a viewing point of the solar eclipse. Eurostar train service to London and other locations in mainland Europe was a short 20 min walk away. The buffet breakfast was excellent and I especially appreciated the water spiggets on each floor to fill up your water bottle with either plain filtered or carbonated water. The front desk was mostly helpful, although one woman could have used additional customer support training in cheerfully answering questions. The room was cooled to a comfortable temperature, a welcome respite from the outside heat wave. All in all a wonderful experience. I would return."
