Eco Hotel Uxlabil Atitlan

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel was exactly what I needed. It was close to town but far enough away where it felt secluded and peaceful. The view of the lake and the breakfast were spectacular. It is a bit tricky to get to if you’re not familiar with the area, you can show the driver of the Lancha the name of the hotel and they will drop you off right at the dock. Otherwise you’ll have to walk 10 minutes from the town dock. The shower doesn’t get super hot, it gets warm. Overall I’d recommend this place and would stay there again, all the people there were super friendly and helpful as well."

"The property is well maintained and clean. The restaurant in the hotel is okay but they are very pushy on tips and did not appreciate that. The customer service in the restaurant was also okay as they were not very attentive. The TV in the room did not work and I had to ask for almost everything. The room has no hair dryer, not enough lights, excessive ants/bugs, and no mini fridge. Also, the location is not the best as there is not many walkable restaurants and activities. The views from hotel are stunning but not really satisfied."

"The menu was very varied and fresh. The staff was friendly and willing to help with any questions. The room was clean and the blankets were very comfortable. The reservation stated there would be a bathtub, but I was assigned a room with a shower. The only drawback was getting there. The surrounding streets aren't paved; I think directions would have been very helpful. The only access is through the shopping center."
