We enjoyed our stay here. The only thing that was disappointing was… I thought breakfast was included. It wasn’t until I went to check out that I found out it wasn’t when an additional $30.00 USD was charged to my credit card.

What a location.. a dream The hotel improved a lot in the last years. This was our 4 th time we stayed here. The buffet is wonderful really gourmet!! And the staff is professional absolutely! We had a nice room with and the views are just breathtaking. Excellent hotel, Nicely appointed rooms, great restaurant. The only opportunity to improve is the flow and water temperature. We had a tub with jets but could not use it because the water temperature was not hot enough and the tub could not even be filled due to low water force. The water was barely warm and uncomfortable for shower.

Great place to stay, the rooms are very nice and this was the first place I stayed at in Sri Lanka that had hot water in the shower. Also, I dropped a 5000 rupee bill on the staircase and an employee returned it to me. I will stay here again if I go back to Kandy

Everything was immaculate and perfect except for one thing, the hot water in the shower would run out relatively quick. Aside from this, I would highly recommend this hotel.

I absolutely loved this place! My family and I stayed here for two nights while we were in Sri Lanka for our winter vacation. Just an excellent, excellent stay from start to finish in this historic Colonial building. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the team really just was top notch and really cared about quality of food. The loft was a hit with the kids and the fine correction of loose tea was very much appreciated. We only stayed one night due to our itinerary, but would have loved to have stayed longer. The kids dipped their legs in the pool, but also didn't have the chance to swim due to time constraints....

Beautiful hotel and room very nicely appointed. Rooftop pool was fabulous. Great outlook and easily enjoyed cocktails from that viewpoint! Very friendly staff. Great location above the lake and looks across to Temple of the relic of the tooth. Easy walk down town.
