This was the best hotel of our trip to Italy! Super friendly and helpful staff - Marta showed us to our room upon arrival and explained the room features (I've never experienced that at a hotel before!). The hotel and the room were beautiful and spotless - and the shower has to be one of the best hotel showers of all time! Great stay!

The staff were exceptional and always so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample and delicious and the breakfast staff also extremely friendly. Beds extremely comfortable and rooms extremely quiet. Slightly out of town (about 15 minutes) but I liked walking to town and back along the waterfront after dinner. Going to the islands was extremely close - just down the hill. Great stay!!

Gorgeous trees and flowers in April and many birds singing; also, you have beautiful views of Lake Maggiore. This is a wonderful place for relaxing. Especially nice if coming from a wintry country! The staff at Hotel Royal was very helpful and they spoke English very well!

Enchanting family run hotel. Would have stayed longer if we would have known how nice it was. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Spacious rooms. Excellent location. The hotel made reservations for us to dine on Isola Pescodore Island. We were picked up in front of the hotel, steps away from the marina and ferries in a private boat at no charge. Had a delicious meal with a view to the ocean and the sun setting. Free ample car parking and free lobby wifi.

The staff will make your experience exceptional. We left a C-PAP machine on the train. Marina took much of her time filing reports in Italian so we could locate and pick up the device. The kitchen staff greeted us each morning and remembered what kind of coffee we liked. The manager, Luca, was most helpful upon our arrival giving us directions and suggestions as we wanted to visit the islands. We stayed at the Astroria 5 years ago and likes it so much we came back. The hotel has old school charm while providing fantastic service. The staff are wonderful. The hotel has a beautiful view of the lake and it is a 5 minute walk to the hiatpric center, where you can find restaurants and shops. It is also a perfect place to take day trips. It is an easy 1.5 hours drive.

Staff is really nice, rooms are a bit smaller and basic but provides all what you need, you enjoy the things rather outside :-) that is why you are in maggiore right ;), I spent just a weekend and it provided us good night sleep with a good breakfast - all you need, juices, italian cofee is a must ofcourse, yogurt, mussli, sweets and breads. Again the best part of this hotel is the staff, from reception to welcome you even in the late evening, to the staff serving you breakfast.

Amazing! One of the best rooms I’ve stayed in. New modern finishes and so clean. Great hosts and convenient but quiet location. Relaxing outdoor spaces and lake view. Highly recommend.

Grand Hotel des Lles Borromees is a wonderfully elegant hotel set lakeside with beautiful grounds and gardens. My wife and I extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights - expensive, but well worth it. Where else on earth would be nicer than this? The views from our balcony of the lake and mountains were breathtaking. It is very meticulously kept up - did I say elegant - and spotless too. We arrived on a rainy foggy day for one night. Check in was easy & straightforward. The location is terrific and our room had a beautiful view (when its not so foggy!) The Gigi bar was very helpful. Loved the room and the decor- wish we could have stayed longer.
