Located right across the street from Herculaneum. Just a 10 minute walk down hill from the train station. Nice restaurants nearby. Staff was very helpful and room was clean. We had a small balcony and the hotel had a nice terrace area where we relaxed and ate our take away lunches. Breakfast very good.
Gino (I hope I ’m spelling his name correctly) made you feel like home, he was very attentive and friendly. The room is very comfortable and spacious. It’s overall quiet and restful. The area around the property, and the town as a whole might disquiet some, it’s more the “real” Italy than the manicured tourist towns some expect. Visit for the Roman ruins, the volcano, and the food. The beach needs a lot of improvements to be a tourist pull.
What an amazing find. Don't be fooled by lack of reviews its brand new on the market. Durante only has three rooms (two beautiful suites and one smallish space). Tall ceilings, deck space, bathrooms with tubs and three inch think wooden doors. Easy walk to the ruins.
Me nd my Husband had such an amazing time at San Cristoforo felt like a honeymoon, the property is very well kept nd the rooms are very luxurious nd we also had the vesivius View which was amazing. Overall it felt like a palace, staff was very friendly nd helpful, also the breakfast nd dinner beyond delicious nd very romantic dinner. Outside the property only has few places u can eat and best spot was the Rooftop lounge. Thank you will definitely visit again!!!

Everything was nice, but if u coming by car is in a stiff hill and the entrance is very narrow,,.so you have to be a good driver. You need a car to move in and out, there is nothing in walking distance, not even a small market.
This place is beautiful. The staff is friendly, respectful, and helpful. I had a problem with the TV, and it was quickly solved. The WI-FI was very spotty; however, it was a moderate problem as we were too tired to do anything. The spotty WI-FI can be a problem, especially when planning what to do. Finally, I am transgender, and one very positive side of this place is that I felt safe, and there was no misgendering.
Only downside is there are 53 stairs up and no elevator. Great history of the building and Salvadore is a great host. Just a short walk to Herculean and restaurants close by.
The hotel was nice and included secure parking which was important. The neighborhood appears economically deprived but seemed safe enough to walk around.
We stayed here recently, family of four with two kids. The hotel is neat and clean, modern looking and the the food is amazing, especially the buffet breakfast which is included in the price. The location can't be beat, it's right in front of the pompei ruins and there are awesome food places right near the hotel. The staff were amazing too. I would love to stay again at this hotel.
