"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"While surveying Athens, GA by hot air balloon in 1896, I decided to stay the night in 2025 in Madison, Ga at the Sleep Inn. Excellent parapets. More walk-in cooler space for activities. No lingering supernatural phenomena. Would stay again. "

"My daughter and I stayed two nights while visiting with our family who lives in Buckhead, GA. Upon our arrival we walked into a nice foyer with a very pleasant fellow who greeted us and gave us our room keys. We walked into a nice smelling room and crisp clean bed that was very comfortable to sleep on I will add. Our stay was superb!! I especially loved the bathroom amenities. Thank you for making us feel welcome! If I need to plan another stay in the future this is where I’ll choose."

Breakfast you have to eat downstairs and could use a little more options. Overall it's a great stay for the location and price and the staff always makes it a good choice to come back to."

"Slim pickings on a UGA football weekend so took a chance because ratings were decent. No picture of the facility and picture of the one apparently decent room. It’s a dumpy motor inn on a loud, busy highway. The ratings were because of two posters that left numerous 10 ratings. "

Rooms were super clean and quiet. Pretty good breakfast. Good workout room. In the event of the apocalypse and I was forced to be in Athens, GA again, I would definitely stay here.
