"It's more a large guest house. We stayed in the lovely, long room.at the top of the hotel with beams running through it. The hotel is quirky and nice. Breakfast wasn't great. We had a full English. Better quality, even if it cost another £2, would have been welcome."

"The George is in an ideal position, on the high street. Next door is a really good Thia Restaurant. There is a popular Italian restaurant within the hotel and an excellent little wine bar a few steps down the street. The George is a budget hotel that gives good value. We had plenty of space both in the room and bathroom. Toiletries and tea/coffee facilities were provided. The fan was very much appreciated during the hot spell."
