"We booked The Star for a midway stop between travelling home and found the owner to be really friendly and anything we needed he was happy to oblige! Great view from the beer garden and the food we had in the evening was amazing, highly recommend for couples or even a family stay 😊"

"Very friendly staff great breakfast "

"Lovely and helpful staff."

"Lovely little bolt hole next to a great pub. The bed was very comfy and the shower was amazing. The outside seating is overlooked by the main road and due to roadworks it was a bit too busy with standing traffic to sit outside. The pub next door was very good and we enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast the next day."

"The room was beautiful we stayed in the honeymoon suite . Breakfast was also excellent we would definately stay in this place again."

"Very impressed with the hotel and loved the rooftop terrace. Staff were very helpful and food was excellent."

"Very welcoming and friendly host, very clean and comfortable accommodation and an excellent breakfast. "

"We took the cheaper room(s) and, although small, they were cosy and spotless, and the bathroom was modern. The check-in process is fully automated, simple to use and worked well. There was plenty of parking available at the hotel at all times. A bonus was the complimentary coffees and biscuits available in the lounge area which acted as breakfast for us. We will definitely stay here again when next visiting friends in Cheltenham."

"The staff were friendly and helpful . The room was lovely , clean and roomy . Food was very good . Lovely place to stay"

"The hotel is a beautiful, historical building, but with all necessary modern facilities. It's location close to the Westonburt Arboreum makes is perfect if that's where you're headed, though on the other hand it is quite a distance from anything else. The food at the bar was delicious and I had a great time over 4 nights."
