"We loved our stay at Hotel Alza Kyoto. The staff was polite and kind, and helped forward our luggage to our hotel in Tokyo (for a fee). The room was spacious, clean, and the quietest we'd ever stayed in. It's slightly off the beaten path, yet within 3 minutes of the Sanjo JR station, 5 minutes of the Sanjo Keihan subway station, and within walking distance to Nishiki Market. "We had a wonderful stay, so much so we cancelled our last night in Tokyo to stay in Kyoto an extra day. Perfect Japanese style with a modern twist. The location is impeccable and the staff are so lovely. My daughter got sick from some food at Disney Sea days prior and they were so nice when she “got sick” in the front entrance. The bed was so nice it was like sleeping at home …And the bathroom I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS. Cannot wait to return sans sick kids 😂. Thanks so much!"

"There are a lot of shops nearby, all within walking distance. Nishiki market is about 5 minute walk from hotel. Several train stations near hotel.
