"This is our second stay at the Talbot, first was late summer 2024. Atm, the pub part of the hotel is closed and meals were not offered. Local gossip said the hotel was being used for asylum/immigrants, I saw no evidence of this and the clients seemed to be mostly couples and businesses. Dad and I stayed in a twin room, it had a large shower, no bath, desk, tv (not in hotel mode so streaming stick was easy to use), slightly larger than sister’s double. WiFi was good in the room and handled streaming a movie while web/social media browsing. Staff were helpful. Remember to register your car in the terminal at reception and set duration of stay to avoid charges. Only negative point is that there needs to be a towel rail or holder in the bathroom. "
