Beautiful, peaceful property in the countryside, only a few minutes from Foix. The proprietress is lovely, and the food is very good. Note the wifi is spotty and a bit slow, but manageable, and there is no air conditioning. Despite these issues, we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing stay at Le Clos Cathala.

Visited Tarascon-sur-Ariege and surrounding area. Food at the hotel's restaurant (Bellevue) was delicious and service was prompt. Also enjoyed the local wines. All staff were very helpful even though their English and our French needed a bit of help (thanks to Lovely Planet translation books). Pricing for accommodation was appropriate.
