"The property was basic but for the price it was great. Bonus being able to use the facilities at their sister property across the street. Pool bar was cool set up like a grotto. Bartender there was excellent!"
"My daughters and I had a wonderful stay at Ocean Reef Yacht Club & Resort in Grand Bahama. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The resort was easy to find, the grounds and rooms were very clean, and the entire team was friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay.
Our room was spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, we all slept so well each night. The resort had a peaceful, comfortable atmosphere that made...
"Quiet, very nice view, friendly staff and just nice people. Room had effective AC, microwave and refrigerator, as well as coffee maker. Everything we needed!"
"Booked this online via Expedia because it looked great - got to the site and it was CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS. Luckily we were able to contact someone on site so they could set up a cot for us, but the place was CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS so there were no services. The airline had lost our luggage, so we had to wait at the property because that’s where the airline was bringing our luggage, even though it WAS CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS. But eventually the airline told us they WEREN’T bringing our...

You might want to practice your swing at Reef Golf Course, a golf course located 3.1 mi (5 km) from central Freeport. Hotels.com travelers also say the area is great for couples and has lots of nice beaches. If Reef Golf Course doesn't quite scratch your golfing itch, Fortune Hills Golf and Country Club, and Ruby Golf Course are also nearby.
We arrived and everything was ready and the apartment was beautiful. We loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The rooms were decorated very nicely. The kitchen had everything you would want. It even had baking pans!! We had a lovely stay. When we walked into the unit there was a personal welcome with our name. Made us feel very special. The landscaping was nicely done. There were a few things we asked about and the manager had things we wanted right away. I couldn't believe how nice this...
The price tells you that this is not the island's grand-lux accomodations, but it's beautifully situated occupying the end of a peninsual. Three nice pools, one is a quite pool towards the rear, one's heated (never checked if it is) and one has a hut-tub and good quality pool-side restaurant and lively bar. Breakfast buffet in the new conference wing, offered all the typical choices - and even had an omelette station. Same place had a lunch buffet with a quite nice salad bar that also offered...
I stayed at Ocean Reef from July 27th to Aug 5th 2015 with one of my best girlfriends. We arrived at about 1:45 pm Monday. We were able to check in immediately and had to leave a 200 hundred deposit. The staff was very courtesy, professional and helpful, they sent someone to help us unload our rental car to take our stuff to our unit. Our two bedroom was spacious, beautiful with a Jacuzzi and a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. There are two pools on the grounds a restaurant and...
My sister & I treated ourselves to a pre-Christmas get-away in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. Everyone @ Bell Channel Inn was SO pleasant & accommodating. Liz(owner)& Helen(front desk clerk)greeted us. Cloe(the barmaid & server)served us complimentary drinks(Bahama Mamas)after check-in. This hotel has been ran(and still is)by same family for 3 generations. The building is old, but has a comfortable homey atmosphere. Our room on the 3rd floor over-looked the channel & was only few doors down from...
We enjoyed the room over the water and the distance from any heavy vehicular traffic. The grounds near the sea were well kept and we enjoyed a beer at the grotto bar.
We were here for only one night, but I had stayed here several years ago as well. The hotel is on a lovely beach; there is a nice pool as well, though the pool is fairly shallow so not good for a real swim. But the ocean is certainly good for a swim!! There is a frequent shuttle to take you to Port Lucaya, and also a shuttle to the supermarket. Staff is pleasant and helpful, and try to accommodate your needs. The room we had was a one bedroom suite, with a sofa bed in the living room. Very roomy...
The entire staff at the Marlin was in a word "Phenomenal"! Traveling the entire Caribbean for over 50 years, we find the Bahamians the most friendliest people ever! We love the interactions with them as they always are quick with a smile, and making you laugh. A special "thank you" to K,C. who works the front gate security as I had the privilege of talking to and learning so much more of the history of Grand Bahama Island! Thank you all so much, we will return.
The Royal Islander was a wonderful place to stay...the staff was very friendly and helpful when you had questions....The room was super ...very large...pool was exceptional with great landscaping...the room was clean and well kept...Had a slight problem with sugar ants in the basin in the bath...no biggey , because it is the tropics.... The staff was always concerned with you confort.... Two things that was not the hotels fault....Expedia promoted this hotel with an International Bazzar across...
