WOW, the property is very relaxing. It’s very beautiful and the staff , I mean there perfect from the manager to the waiters/bartenders and women that keep the rooms immaculate. They treated me so well, the food is amazing and the views from the bungalows are very beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a beautiful experience of Zanzibar and the spectacular ocean views it has to offer.

How ever, it said in various sites that there is a beach here, it is, maybe 25 sq meter in total, but with no acces to the sea, there is a very large ref.

The Restaurant, Room, Gardener and Manager were helpful and friendly and tried their best with what they had to work with. The room was nice with direct access to the pool.

If you're the type of traveler who eats at McDonald's in other country's, then this property is probably not for you, but if you want to immerse in the local culture, its fantastic. Make sure you specify a bathroom in your room, unless you're ok with sharing, and make sure you arrange for a pickup at the airport for transportation to the hotel. We had a wonderful holiday. Shooting star lodge is an oasis so peaceful and tranquil that we cannot help to relax and forget about all the cares in the world. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great.
Our booking was problematic, because the site would not let us book one unit as a family of five. We fitted very comfortably into one cottage in the end but still ended up paying for both.
The hotel has a very quiet and enjoyable beachfront. The property is spacious so you don't feel that there are other guests. The buildings are very well maintained and the food is godd and reasonably priced.
The bungalows are not air conditioned so it might get a bit warm during the very humid months (April and May).
Overall a great stay. Definitely recommended !

First experience on an all-inclusive hotel. very nice service, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, lovely beach and coral reefs to explore. no snorkeling or dolphins, that is on the other side of the island. The buffet and drinks service is ok, nothing special, although I'd have liked to have some local/african foods or drinks to experience.

The island is chock-full if friendly and comforting staff members which truly elevate the unique experience provided by the island itself. The villas were extremely clean and we didn’t even encounter one big inside ours. Everything from the welcome to our departure was absolutely first class without exception. A few members of staff deserve a special mention - Bernard, Mtoto, Nema and Baracka all helped make our stay extra special.
