"room was very clean but bathroom in the room was outdated. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful."

"The hotel is so close to the ferry terminal, so that is super convenient. As well as easy walking to the shrines & temples, shopping street and many cafes and shops. The onsen set up is fabulous!! You cannot see the floating Torii from the hotel, but it has views of the water, ferry terminal, and the mainland beyond. Laundry facility was always available when we needed it."

"We loved staying here. The view of Itsukushima's torii gate, the mountains and the rest of Miyajima are beautiful. The kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast were delicious, and the public bath was clean and tidy. We had access to a private bath (by appointment), but were too tired to take advantage. There was also a gift shop downstairs with local gifts. The staff were helpful and friendly, and also dropped us off at the ferry at the end of our stay."

"Beautiful traditional tatami hotel. You pay a huge premium for staying on Miyajima and it’s worth every penny. Lovely staff. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but found several lovely places nearby. "

"What a wonderful and authentic Japanese experience. The hosts made us both feel extremely welcome and accommodated despite the language barrier. The Japanese style keiseki breakfast and dinner were outstanding both in taste and general experience. Thoroughly recommend for those who want a true Ryokan experience. "Amazing hotel. Categorized as 3-star but lives up to 5-star reputation. Brand new. Elegant Japanese design. Big rooms. Comfortable beds. Excellent service. Just across from the ferry port that takes you to Miyajima island. Might be a bit far from central Hiroshima, but its advantages outweigh this single disadvantage. Very much recommend!"
