The hotel is one block over from Bourbon St and one block up from where things get going on Bourbon St. We were there off season and Bourbon St was under construction so crowds were not as large as usual. Overall my stay was great except for the check in process. I've stayed at many hotels and if the room is ready earlier than the 4pm check in time they will normally just allow you in. This property (Centric Hyatt) tried to charge us $50 to check in rooms that are already paid for and available. Then to appease us they said if we came back in another hour or so they would basically do us a "favor" and only charge $25. Seems like nickel and diming to me. Location was excellent! A few places to eat and have a drink inside, great fuse from observatory 11 and from our room; easy walking distance to the French Quarter Bourbon Street and other places. Particular shout out to the guys and the young lady out front that helped us get a cab an Uber or a shuttle. Every day they offered a friendly greeting with a smile and unbounded professionalism. We will recommend this hotel to family and friends that are in that area.

It was close to the things we wanted to visit. This is a Historic building divided up into suites and has a courtyard area. We liked that we could walk to many attractions.
I can honestly say I have nothing negative to report. This hotel is clean, beautiful and the staff were absolutely wonderful! The location was great, we could walk to most points of interest, so our rental car really wasn't necessary, just know they only offer valet service and it's about $40/ day for parking. However, we did take a day to drive up to Gulfport, MS which is a beautiful place.
