Tucked into the Rocky Mountain foothills, this mountain haven offers outdoor adventures that change with the seasons. Paddle across Evergreen Lake in summer or ice skate its frozen surface in winter. Hiking trails at Alderfer Three Sisters Park lead through pine forests to views that explain why locals never leave. The downtown area feels like a movie set with its western-style buildings housing art galleries and coffee shops. Nearby Red Rocks Amphitheater hosts concerts in a natural acoustic wonder formed by massive sandstone formations. Wildlife sightings are so common that residents casually mention deer in their yards the way city folks discuss parking tickets. After a day outdoors, join locals at brewpubs where conversations about trail conditions flow as freely as the craft beer.
"Can't say enough about Limelight Hotel! First, the hotel itself is beautiful -- gorgeous wood detailing, spacious hallways with tall ceilings, clean, a very popular DIY coffee/espresso machine in the lobby, etc. The staff, though, they really made it a special visit. We were there for one night to celebrate our 8YO son's birthday -- we had just gotten off a 32-hour train ride from Sacramento to Denver, and we requested a room with a view of Union Station (he's obsessed with trains). Not only did they deliver with a beautiful view on the top floor, but they also surprised us with a few treats for the birthday boy -- a stuffed animal he'll treasure for years to come and a bucket full of drinks to enjoy. Simple but so thoughtful! Thank YOU Limelight staff!! If we're ever in Denver again, we know exactly where we'll book :)"
"Rooms were updated, modern and sleek! The clocks in the bathroom mirrors are an amazing touch. Was surprised that parking instructions are not more clear/direct with this downtown property. As of Dec. 2025 valet parking is $60. There is a public parking garage around the back of the block if you do not want valet.
The first room I was placed in had a well-used mattress.
Front desk staff was understanding and allowed me a change of rooms. The second room had a mattress in much better condition, but was just a smidge smaller I noticed.
I booked for 2 nights, only stayed one.
The inconvenience and cost of parking- mainly getting in and out of this property was not worth a second night stay for my needs. "
