Downtown Laguna Beach
Downtown Laguna Beach wraps you in artistic charm and ocean magic at every turn. Art lovers can hop between the Laguna Art Museum and countless galleries lining Forest Avenue, while beach enthusiasts splash at Main Beach Park's iconic shoreline. The historic Laguna Playhouse offers intimate shows when you need a break from the sun, and Heisler Park's clifftop gardens deliver postcard-worthy views. Restaurants serve fresh seafood on ocean-view patios, though reservations are essential during summer months. The area is perfectly walkable despite some hills, with seasonal trolleys connecting you to nearby beaches. Boutique inns and luxury resorts dominate the accommodation scene, all within steps of the crashing waves and artistic soul that defines this beachy downtown.

North Laguna
North Laguna's stunning coastline offers a parade of secret coves and dramatic ocean views that'll make your Instagram followers weep with envy. Wander through Heisler Park's gardens before descending to Shaws Cove or Crescent Bay Beach for a peaceful splash. Art lovers can explore local galleries and the Laguna Art Museum while nature enthusiasts discover vibrant tidepools teeming with marine life. Upscale restaurants serve fresh seafood with Pacific Ocean backdrops, though you'll need to book ahead for sunset tables. Accommodations range from luxury oceanfront hotels to charming bed-and-breakfasts, all within walking distance of main attractions. The seasonal trolley makes getting around a breeze when your feet need a break from the neighborhood's scenic but hilly terrain.

South Laguna
South Laguna's dramatic coastline boasts hidden gems like Table Rock and Thousand Steps beaches, where craggy cliffs meet sparkling Pacific waters. Spend sunny days exploring secluded coves and vibrant tide pools that teem with marine life. The neighborhood offers a blend of natural beauty and upscale charm with panoramic ocean views from nearly every winding street. Dining options feature fresh seafood and California cuisine at ocean-view restaurants that capture the coastal vibe. Most accommodations lean luxury with high-end resorts and vacation rentals nestled into the hillsides. A car is recommended for exploring, as the steep terrain makes walking challenging beyond immediate beach areas.

Laguna Village
Laguna Village is a beach lover's paradise where art and ocean collide in the most magical way. Stroll past vibrant galleries showcasing local talent, then hit Main Beach for prime people-watching and volleyball. Wander down to the tide pools where dramatic cliffs meet crashing waves, or time your visit for one of the neighborhood's famous art festivals that fill pocket parks with music. Beachside cafés serve up fresh seafood and craft cocktails, though you'll want to make reservations at the fancier spots. Most of Laguna Village is walkable despite the hills, and a seasonal trolley connects the beaches when your feet need a break. Oceanview resorts and boutique inns offer luxurious digs, but they come with resort-town price tags.

Hip District
Laguna Beach's Hip District buzzes with creative energy where art lovers browse galleries and bohemians sip coffee at sidewalk cafés. Colorful murals brighten building walls while street musicians provide the perfect soundtrack for your stroll. Bluebird Beach and Cleo Street Beach are just two blocks away when you need a refreshing ocean break. Wine bars and farm-to-table restaurants offer perfect spots to refuel after a day of gallery hopping. Most accommodations are boutique inns with artistic flair, reflecting the neighborhood's creative character. The pedestrian-friendly design makes exploring this artistic haven a breeze.

"Location. Staff very helpful"
Costa Art Hotel
"The front-desk staff were great, very helpful. The continental breakfast was decent, plus afternoon popsicles ! The location is wonderful - a short walk down to Crescent Cove and Shaw's Cove, near the northern end of the free Laguna Beach Shuttle, and only a 30-min walk to the town center. The cleaning staff needs improvement. Our hair conditioner bottle was empty. The room was clean when we checked in, but room attendant jumped the gun and started cleaning our room before we checked out. We had a couple of roaches scurry across our room floor. It's an old building with some issues, but we like its funky, coastal vibe. This is our second time staying here and will be happy to return."
Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach
"Excellent in every area. Would stay there again!!!"
Capri Laguna on the Beach
"The perfect boutique hotel! The room faced the beach. Could sleep with my balcony sliding doors open to hear the ocen waves. The proximity and access to the beach was perfect. 50 steps from my room to the beach. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Will definitely be back."

"This is a fabulous day in Laguna. I did not think the room was really well cleaned especially other soaps. Come on the plumbing fixtures in the shower. The floors are really dirty too (our socks turned brown.) The location is fantastic, and the staff was very friendly minus one of the valet guys who drove like a bat out of hell."
Laguna Beach House
"Comfortable and cozy. I love the beacy Cali vibe of the furniture and layout."
