Ludlow
Ludlow delivers authentic everyday Yonkers life without the tourist hustle. Dominican, Italian, and Puerto Rican flavors spill from family-owned restaurants tucked between brick apartment buildings and modest single-family homes. Spend your mornings strolling quiet, tree-lined streets before venturing to nearby attractions like Philipse Manor Hall or Van der Donck Park. Budget-conscious travelers will appreciate the wallet-friendly lodging options and casual eateries where locals gather. While public transit is limited, abundant street parking makes exploration by car convenient. The peaceful residential vibe offers a genuine cultural immersion and welcome respite from Manhattan's non-stop energy.

Getty Square
Dense and growing, Getty Square offers a multi-ethnic shopping district, farmers' markets at St. John's Episcopal Church and Van der Donck Park, and the unique Science Barge. Along with various transport options, the neighborhood can boast a high Walk Score of 95.

Northwest Yonkers
Northwest Yonkers pairs suburban calm with stunning green spaces just a quick hop from New York City. The historic Untermyer Gardens dazzles with terraced Persian gardens and Hudson River panoramas, while Victorian mansions line tree-canopied streets. Nature lovers can explore the wooded trails of Lenoir Preserve or stroll the historic Old Croton Aqueduct path with its charming stone archways. Family restaurants and pizza joints serve up hearty Italian-American comfort food throughout the area. While public transit is limited, ample street parking makes getting around by car a breeze. Most visitors choose nearby chain hotels or book stays in historic homes for that authentic suburban American experience.

Southeast Yonkers
Southeast Yonkers offers a peaceful retreat from New York City's hustle with tree-lined streets and authentic neighborhood vibes. The area blends suburban charm with entertainment at Yonkers Raceway and Empire City Casino. Local corner stores and family-owned eateries showcase the area's diverse cultural influences through Dominican and Italian cuisine. Affordable accommodation options make this a budget-friendly alternative to Manhattan prices. The Mount Vernon West Station connects you to the city, though having a car helps for exploring beyond the quiet residential streets. Expect genuine local interactions rather than tourist attractions in this slice of everyday American suburban life.

Northeast Yonkers
Northeast Yonkers offers families a leafy suburban escape just outside New York City's hustle. Kids go wild at Legoland Discovery Center Westchester while shoppers explore Westchester's Ridge Hill. The stunning Untermyer Gardens showcases Persian-style terraces with Hudson River views, and outdoor enthusiasts can wander the historic Old Croton Aqueduct Trail through charming neighborhoods. Local restaurants serve up family-friendly Italian-American fare in a relaxed atmosphere where you'll dine alongside residents. Accommodations run from budget-friendly motels to vacation rentals in quiet residential streets. While a car is recommended, ride-sharing services connect you to Manhattan's attractions within an hour.

Ascend any of the 'Seven Hills' for views that explain why this Hudson River city has quietly charmed generations. The Hudson River Museum combines art galleries with a planetarium where stars still shine despite city lights. Untermyer Gardens offers Persian paradise designs and Grecian columns framing spectacular river vistas. Empire City Casino maintains a nostalgic racetrack vibe while offering games of chance without the Vegas excess. Legoland Discovery Center delights young architects, while Philipse Manor Hall reveals colonial history through creaking floorboards and period furnishings. Getty Square buzzes as the downtown hub, but locals might suggest Ridge Hill for shopping or a riverside stroll where Manhattan's skyline appears like a mirage across the water.

ROW NYC
"The staff is first rate and the location is very convenient to subways, shopping, dining, and theatres. However, be advised: Mini fridge is an extra $40/day! Also, not all the floors have an ice machine and not all the floors that are supposed to have an ice machine actually have one. To add to the challenge, ice buckets are not in the room and need to be requested. The upside is you get to meet other frustrated guests looking for ice. For two days, floors 1-15 only had one working elevator that added long waits and frustration."
Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel
"The staff downstairs and at the front desk could certainly be more friendly and welcoming the person at the front desk was fairly abrupt and got frustrated when my husband asked a couple questions. There was one really shining star in the little coffee shop / next shop across from the check-in desk. He was very friendly outgoing helped us figure out how to use our room credit and basically went out of his way to help us out he was The Shining Star of the visit. Our room at the hotel was very nice clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that the toilet paper holder is falling off of the wall which was very inconvenient as the toilet paper fell in the trash every time you tried to pull some off the roll and there was no shampoo in the holder in the shower when we arrived I had to ask. Everything else went smoothly and we enjoyed our stay very much. I would for sure stay here again if we ever have need to visit Times Square New York again."
Arlo Midtown
"We enjoyed our stay and they were very responsive and the location was great as well as room cleanup"
Paramount Times Square – A Generator Hotel
"Came here for Harry Styles and it was GREAT! The room is small, but it makes sense since its New York. The workers were all amazing and super helpful, our shower wouldnt drain and a sweet lady came in and vacuumed the water out of our tub at 3 AM!!!! The receptionists also gave some great recommendations for us to visit around the city. If you are in your 20's and going on a fun trip I definitely recommend this hotel. Great ambiance, wifi was a bit spotty, but the walls were thick enough to drown on the city noise and the people in other rooms. Location of the hotel is also very convenient everything is pretty much walking distance, if not the subway is not too far."

Empire Hotel
"The roof top bar area was beautiful! Great vibes! The location of the hotel was wonderful!!! So close to everything you need and central park! My room was surprisingly a decent size compared to the last hotel experience I had. The showers were awesome!! Loved it!!! The staff was helpful and very attentive anytime we needed anything or simply just asking a question! I would definitely stay there again on a future visit!!"
