This is a beautiful resort but way too expensive. They nickel and dime you for every single possible thing, and all rates are way too high. The spa was amazing but not sure we can afford to go back. I think there may be better value elsewhere without all these extra expenses and charges.
Martha and her family who help her are absoultly amazing. The rooms are exceptionally clean and beautiful and she takes care of her guests in every possible way to ensure they feel welcome.
Great place!!!! Restaurant is amazing with a unique setting and wine cellar in an old grist mill. Morning continental basket of goodies was phenomenal! Lots of history in the area and nice to stay with a local business instead of the corporate Homestead, which is beautiful but not the same country feel as here.
I would say the stay was like visiting my grandma on her farm. Just felt like home. Everyone was nice. They had a little breakfast area where you could get like pastries or quiche. Then go sit outside to stare at the beautiful mountains. They also have a cafe for lunch and dinner. Which was delicious. This charming 100+ year old inn has so much to offer the traveler: An inviting front porch, rear deck, and comfy parlor for hanging out, antique furnished bedrooms with modern private baths, fast wi-fi, and an included extensive continental breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the towels fluffy. Every area of the inn is extremely well maintained and clean. Conveniently located in a walkable area close to shops and restaurants. Wonderful home on beautiful grounds. Wonderful cazebo overlooking a creek boardering the rear of the property. Sandra met us shortly after we arrived inviting us in like family with a tour of the house and our room. Breakfast was marvelous with all you could want.
We loved it. Lovely large rooms w/living room kitchen & dining room. No stove but that was very clearly stated when booking so no problem. Clean and recently renovated. Restaurant/bar associated was quite good. Staff were outstanding! Close to Greenbriar & Lewisburg. Highly recommend
Check in is at Penny's Diner, about 20 ft from hotel entrance. It is about 8 years old, and provides a smoke free environment. I could rave on and on about this place, but suffice it to say I booked online, sight unseen, and booked again for the return trip and will continue to book whenever my travel takes me near Low Moor, VA.
