Bishop City Park is 0.7 mi (1.1 km) from central Bishop, why not stop by during your stay. Want to stretch your legs some more? Head to Bulpitt Park, located nearby.
Explore the Eastern Sierra's dramatic landscapes with a rock climbing adventure in the Buttermilks or a fishing trip to Lake Sabrina. Fuel up at Erick Schat's Bakkerÿ, famous for its sheepherder bread, before hiking to ancient bristlecone pines in the White Mountains.
Bishop is a great city with a gateway to many directions for whatever adventure you are doing. It's a must to stop by Schatz's bakery. Even if you aren't hungry at the time, take it for the road trip or when you get back home (get chili cheese bread)

We love this large small town, it has the amenities and conveniences we use and look for, relatively safe and comfortable, mainly it's central in the eastern Sierra corridor.

After many years of passing through Bishop on my way to Mammoth, and other northern vacation attractions I have been becoming more partial to Bishop which has a host of attractions both north and south of it. My next stays will be in Bishop.

So many shops and restaurant's to try and advetures to be had using this place as your base camp. Great value at the restaurant's we tried. We also had fun going through some of the stores by the city park. The park is a must see.

Great stores to wander in and restaurants that we could walk to. Our favorites were the Mountain Rambler Brewery and Yamatani Japanese. Also, one of the best new and secondhand outdoor gear shops I've ever been to: @MammothGear.
"We stayed here for one day during our camping trip. We couldn’t be happier about our decision. This is a motel type of property but it’s way better than the typical motel. It’s very clean; the beds are comfortable, bathroom clean; shower has good water pressure; laundry facilities are good; even the breakfast is fine (some reviews are critical about the breakfast, but to us, bagels, French toast, cereal, yogurt, and serviceable coffee is very acceptable); staff are very friendly (the whole Bishop is a friendly town)"
"I never give reviews but wanted to for this hotel.
I liked multiple things about it like there was a refrigerator and microwave; parking was super close and easy; the shower and toilet was separate behind a door from the sink and mirror and it was super clean.
What I didn’t like was the bed was hard with no cushion and my back hurt upon waking up. "
"This whole property is great, lots of seating areas by creek and fire pits is a bonus! The creekside bar and breakfast is so convenient and yummy! Definitely will return! "
"the check in person was very nice and helpful. we had a car problem and he allowed us to made all the arrangements needed for our van. thank you very much."
"The room was fantastic, pool was clean. The only thing really to note was that there is a single elevator, and it is at the end of a very long hallway. If you need to move a lot of luggage or have mobility issues, try to get a room towards the end of the hall where the elevator is located. We had to move a bunch of stuff up a stairwell instead."
