Learn more about Ogdensburg
Along the St. Lawrence River, this small city guards a surprising cultural treasure - the Frederic Remington Art Museum, where the famed Western artist's bronzes capture the spirit of a frontier he knew firsthand. Fishing enthusiasts cast lines into the Oswegatchie River, which meets the St. Lawrence in a peaceful confluence perfect for contemplative anglers. The riverfront offers picnic spots where watching massive cargo ships navigate the seaway becomes an unexpected spectator sport. Jacques Cartier State Park provides sandy beaches and grassy areas for summer lounging. Cross the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge for a quick visit to Canada, though locals will insist the best views are from their side of the water, where sunsets transform the river into a ribbon of gold.

Capt.'s Inn & Suites
"Very nice clean quiet hotel, very close to Alexandria Bay, within walking distance. The only complaint is that the internet was not good or have a strong signal. Highly recommend"
Riveredge Resort
"We enjoyed our time at Riveredge resort. Key highlights include : great location near the thousand island tour cruises, friendly staff, great well-maintained on-site restaurant and bar with delicious food, good ambience, nice and clean rooms Some areas of improvement: some renovations are needed particularly for the washroom tub and the gym (can add some gym machines or greater level of dumbbells). Having a balcony is nice. We would request if they can be cleaned a bit more regularly to take down spider webs so that people like us can enjoy it more. Overall: we would recommend a stay and would go back to stay here when visiting Alexandria Bay"
Otter Creek Inn
"The only thing that was missing was the microwave,"
Bonnie Castle Resort & Marina
"Staff were very nice. Room was clean although it’s an older building."
Sherman Inn
"Donna and Jim were so kind and helpful with local information. The Sherman is a quiet comfortable stay in a lovely town. We highly recommend it."
The Inn at Gran View Ogdensburg, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"I booked the least expensive room which turned out to have a view of the top of the overhang of the building. The room had a window with a curtain that smelled so bad I was afraid to open it for fear it would spread it’s funk throughout the room. The window which looked like I could have opened it was covered in filth and dead bugs. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. Breakfast was a basic carb fest. If you like to eat cereal and bread you are in luck! The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, the 2 nights that I was there. To be fair the property is beautiful. It’s on the river with lots of places to sit and enjoy views of the river. All in all it was disappointing."
