Learn more about Mammoth Lakes
Beneath the shadow of a dormant volcano, alpine lakes mirror pine-studded mountains where black bears occasionally wander through town as if checking their investments. In winter, world-class powder blankets Mammoth Mountain's slopes, while summer reveals hiking trails that wind past wildflower meadows to hidden waterfalls. Take the Village Gondola for panoramic views without breaking a sweat. The eerie tufa towers of Mono Lake rise like ancient sculptures from mineral-rich waters. After skiing or mountain biking, soak aching muscles in natural hot springs scattered throughout the valley. Sierra Star Golf Course offers high-altitude drives where thin air adds distance to every shot. Fish for rainbow trout in Lake Mary, then watch the alpenglow paint the mountains at sunset.

Mammoth Mountain Inn
"Nice place to stay at even though it is an old building"
The Village Lodge
"Nice property, great location and very spacious accommodations. Front desk staff was helpful and professional, housekeeping was prompt when we asked for extra pool towels. Only thing I would say is that room was a little run down. To my understanding each room is individually owned. We didn’t have a problem with the ac unit the weather was pleasant enough to where it cooled the living area well and ceiling fans in rooms were fine for us. Stayed in the 2bed/2 bath with living area. Overall great experience."
Limelight Mammoth
"Amazing big room. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Great check in process and Very cool amenities."
The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth
"We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott in Mammoth! The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The complimentary shuttle service was a huge plus and made getting around so easy. Although the restaurant is currently being remodeled, it didn’t take away from our experience at all. The rest of the amenities were first-rate, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’ll definitely be back!"
Shilo Inns Mammoth Lakes
"The hotel is in renovation so a little dusty/grubby along the hall to the room, inside it was acceptable and just about right for what we needed, pricey though for when in renovation. No swimming pool due to renovation also, we were not disappointed though as we wouldn’t have used it."
Motel 6 Mammoth Lakes, CA
"Nothing to brag about simple room no refrigerator or microwave and the lid to the toilet was missing"
Ventura Grand Inn
"I needed a place for one night to sleep and to be able to work in the morning remotely. This place was perfect for that, WiFi was great, the desk and chair were good to go. Bed was very comfy!!"
The Sierra House
"Need to sound proof the rooms. Can Hear neighbors next door."
Cinnamon Bear Inn
"The inn is situated on a side street just around the corner from the main highway. There’s several shops and restaurants in walking distance. The property is older but the room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean but dated. I was really happy with the bed being a plush. I really dislike hard beds. They also serve a free buffet breakfast in the morning. Nothing fancy but simple. Pancakes, hash browns, and eggs with some sort of corned beef bits in it. They also had cereals. OJ, milk and coffee. Actually, they have complementary coffee in the dining area/ check in area the entire day. Nice touch. The only downside was that the hot tub was being repaired so it was out of service while I was there."
