Learn more about Avalon
Venture beyond the ordinary on Seven Mile Island, where pristine beaches stretch further into the Atlantic than neighboring shores – making it 'Cooler by a Mile' in more ways than one. Rent bikes to cruise the promenade before exploring downtown's quaint shops and seafood spots. The summer population swells from 1,200 to 45,000, yet somehow maintains its upscale charm. Spot dolphins from boat excursions or perfect your serve at 39th Street Tennis Center. For family fun, putt around Pirate Island Golf or take a short trip to Wildwood Boardwalk. The real magic happens at sunset when the beach empties and you'll understand why this slice of Jersey shore attracts those seeking both relaxation and refinement.

Bolero Resort
"This was a great place to stay everyone was very nice here the property was kept very clean"
Oceanic Hotel
"We had an amazing time during our stay! Our room was upgraded, and we definitely appreciated the extra space with the kiddos. The pool and tiki bar were our favorite parts of the hotel! The bartender was amazing and incredibly helpful. He gave us great recommendations for places to go with the kids and told us about the free shuttle, which was an absolute game changer for our family! I know the hotel is in the process of upgrading the rooms, and I can’t wait to see how the suites turn out once they’re renovated. We had such a great experience and would definitely stay again!"
Hotel Cabana Oceanfront/ Boardwalk
"Toni at the front desk was amazing! Did all she could to make our stay wonderful!"
Coastal Sands Inn
"My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. All went well. I accessed and enjoyed the pool and my husband cooked on the grill. The motel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Location was perfect to the boardwalk. We will visit again"
ICONA Avalon
"This is a nicely run, small property. The rooms are a good size, beautifully decorated, clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. Staff was great, having the snacks/lunch/bar right off the pool so we could keep an eye on the kids was key. Parking was easy, and having someone setup chairs and umbrellas for you so we didn’t have to lug them over the sand was so nice. There was a little jockeying for position with the beach chairs though with limited “front row” space. The staff was great it was the other guests who were a bit much. The only thing I can say is that there was a musty, moldy smell when you walked into our room. Like something between the bathroom and kitchenette was leaking or something. I guess it could have been related to the overall high humidity of being in a beach town as well. So take that as you will."
Ala Moana Motel
"Super clean family hotel in a great location. Lovely pool area too. The owners clearly have a sense of pride in their hotel."
Beachside Resort
"Never had an issue from checking in to check out. Always were willing to supply my family with extra towels and sheets. The property outside the room, I was on ground floor with pool, was always kept clean from sand, trash, and whatever else. Very close to the beach, walked back-and-forth multiple times during the day on our week long stay. The AC in the room was perfect and cold to the point you needed blankets, which I love. We had the kitchenette with the full fridge, which worked out in our favor. Definitely plan to stay here again next year."
The Beach Club on Madison Avenue
