Salinas is a nice city to visit. It's near many beautiful attractions. This time we visited the St. John Baptist Mission for the first time and we had a great time. Can't wait to explore some more when we visit again.

Salinas is about a 30 min to & from Monterrey (typically). Traffic dictates actual time. We enjoyed the In n Out accross the way from this site. Our short visit in Salinas was good. There was a lot going on and many of the hotels were fully booked.

Not much things to do on January in Salinas, the only month that has an big event is in July for the Salinas Rodeo, but you have to consider to spend tripple the amount on a hotel of its lower price from other non event months.

Nice town, close enough to Monterey Bay but far enough from the chaos.
"Our room was large and comfortable. On- site parking was a plus. Breakfast was adequate but not great. The place was very clean and the grounds were well maintained. "
"Great place. As clean or cleaner than any major chain hotel I've been in. Beds were comfortable and pillows were just right for me (very subjective, but still...). Check in was super fast and the woman at the front desk was very nice and happy! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. "
