Learn more about Aberdeen
Fairy tales come to life at Storybook Land, where castle turrets and storybook characters create a magical playground for all ages. Cool off at the Aberdeen Aquatic Center with water slides that delight even the most stoic teenagers. The Dacotah Prairie Museum offers an honest portrayal of frontier life without the usual pioneer romanticism. Northern State University's campus features unexpected architectural gems worth exploring. Richmond Lake Recreation Area provides peaceful fishing and camping minutes from downtown. Wylie Park surrounds Storybook Land with picnic spots and a small zoo where children can feed surprisingly polite deer. For a perfect summer evening, catch a local baseball game where the hot dogs are cheap and the community spirit is genuine.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aberdeen by IHG
"Hotel was great along with room. Had some corrosion issues in the pool area. Hot tub was out of order."
The White House Inn
"Room needs some work; molding on the bathroom counter needs repair and rust marks on the bathroom door frame are unsettling. The exit door banging shut constantly @ 5 am for 20 mins was unnerving"
Best Western Ramkota Hotel
"Hotel seems to be older, but has had some updates. Our room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Based on reviews I read I expected it to be horrible. My biggest complaint for our stay is, there’s no elevator. We were on the second floor and had to make a bunch of trips to carry all of our luggage and my husband’s hunting gear up the stairs. Also the large patio window looked over the indoor pool. That made it feel very secluded because we had to keep the curtains closed. Plus you can hear all of the pool noise. The pool did look very nice from our window view. Very kid friendly. The restaurant/bar was very nice. The staff was great. We will most likely stay there again next year for pheasant season."

"Room and surroundings were clean and staff friendly and helpful, but our toilet ran off and on during the night, waking us up."
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Aberdeen
"We had a great stay! Breakfast was great every morning and the pool was really great for both little kids and swimming a few laps. Our room was huge and we had plenty of space to spread out. We also did laundry here, which was really convenient! The hotel was clean, but our hallway had a really strong smell of Mexican food. The smell even came in through our air conditioner. The staff was helpful and nice, but there is only a person at the desk at check in time. The rest of our stay, we needed to call from the front desk for someone to help us. Overall, it was a good value for the money and we would stay here again!"
