Chateau was beautifully decorated. Small elevator to bring our bags to first floor. Owner helped carry bags from entrance stairs to elevator. Robert and his wife were gracious and helpful.
Great place. Best dinner of our trip during the Tour de France. Pool was very nice. So was the grounds of the hotel. The staff was also great. Perhaps the best night of our trip traveling along with the Tour de France.
We had such a wonderful stay at La Sarlamandre. Our hosts, Stéphy and Séb were so kind and welcoming from the start. The rooms are very clean and feel brand new.
Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and cake.
Everything was so perfect and their attention to detail made our stay so comfortable. We really felt at home. We were so sad to leave and wish we could’ve stayed longer! Merci beaucoup!
The hosts are extremely nice and accommodating. It was a bit of a surprise that I was staying in an upstairs apt of their home. Regardless, it was comfortable and they are friendly. Stunning views of the village and the valley from the apt.
We spent 4 nights at the lovely Petit Manoir in the Josephine Baker room. The facilities were great, large bedroom and bath, lots of storage room for clothes, location couldn’t be beat, and historic ambiance was everywhere. For disabled or elderly, I would not recommend it bc you have to walk up a large wooden spiral staircase (yes there is a railing, but a bit tricky for those whose balance is a little off). The breakfast was served daily in the downstairs dining room or by the pool (your...
Every aspect of our stay was extremely lovely. The room and amenities were very spacious and lovely and it was very tastefully decorated. The breakfast on the terrace was delicious and beautifully served. Fransois and Helene were most welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed their 4 truffle hunting dogs. The only thing that would have been more helpful were the directions. The house itself is the first house on the right just after entering through the historic ancient arch into Domme. We ended up...
This is a gorgeous manor house in the heart of the Dordogne Valley next to the river. The views are spectacular and the gardens are beautiful. Be sure to get the breakfast because it is a feast of local flavors. Wonderful hosts who can make excellent dining recommendations. Worth the money for a once in a lifetime experience.
The hidden gem of Dordogne! I’m not sure where to start - the incredible hospitality, the beautiful surroundings, or the fantastic accommodations. Breakfast was sumptuous - Martine is quite the cook and many ingredients are sourced from the grounds. Whether you want to stay for a couple of nights or a week or more, there is plenty to see and do, and then you can go back and enjoy the comfort of Domaine du Pouzelaine.
La Maison Blanche est un vrai havre de paix. Jean-Christophe et Fabienne font tout pour que l'on se sente comme à la maison. Les prestations sont de hautes qualités.
