Learn more about Windsor
Beneath the radar of Wine Country's tourist trail, Windsor offers a refreshing alternative to its famous neighbors. The Russian River Valley beckons with family-owned tasting rooms where winemakers might pour your flight themselves. Summer evenings bring locals to the Town Green for concerts and farmers markets that feel genuinely communal rather than staged for visitors. La Crema Estate at Saralee's Vineyard provides tastings with vineyard views that rival more crowded destinations. After sampling Pinots, head to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve where ancient trees create cathedral-like spaces. The Pacific Coast Air Museum offers unexpected aviation history, while small shops around the town square maintain the feeling of a community that hasn't surrendered entirely to tourism.

"Beware of the membership sales pitch. It’s not worth the gift and getting you approved for credit that you DID NOT ask for. The sales team, was slick. Courteous but not straightforward."

"The kitchen staff was wonderful. We really enjoyed the fresh made breakfast. Thank you"
Hotel E
"The hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff was excellent. The wine bar was nice and the lobby area was comfortable. The breakfast was sparce but they advertise that it's continental. The cereal and coffee were good. And I ate a packaged Kirkland brand boiled egg and I have to say it was better than what I make at home so no complaints. Parking was a challenge but there are several parking public parking lots within a 2 minute walk for $10 a day if you don't want to pay $25 to valet park. My only complaint is the large number of homeless people in the park across from the hotel and the issues we experienced with them. I am very sympathetic to the plight of the homeless and involved in addressing the issue at home. But having one homeless person's dog attack my dog twice and another homeless person threaten my wife with death is just too much. I did not see a single police person during our entire visit in the city. The city of Santa Rosa needs to get their house in order. Until they do, we will stay down the road in a neighboring town that is well managed on our 10 visits a year."
The Lodge at Bodega Bay
"We stayed in a beautiful room with a gorgeous view and a fireplace!"
