The hotel is located in Mactan Newtown. A nice area with several walkable restaurants, including an outdoor food court area Al Fresca, that has 10 to 15 restaurants. Reasonably priced.

The only negative thing about Lapu Lapu is to get a metered taxi. Hard to get. Most drivers tryed to take advantage of the tourists.
"Excellent stay. Food was great. Big thank you to Mary Ann in Brisa Restaurant for all your service. I would return again. Absolutely beautiful property. The children’s free play area really came in handy at check out. Watch out for the taxi fee to leave the property. Automatically starts at 100 pesos + 50 peso fee. Paying for the free breakfast is a great deal. "
"My stay at Mactan Grand Golden Hotel was amazing. Friendly Staff. Great facilities and cute unique restaurant upstairs. I love the whole set up. I wish the Hotel located near malls in walking distance or any convenient store nearby, would been much better. It was rained when we stayed there so the street was flooded. Other than that it was amazing and the staff are so quick to get there when you need something. Highly recommended. "
"Had a great stay here. From check in to check out everything was great. The staff was friendly and attentive and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Loved the amenities. The only setback would be that it’s far from the city or any other food/malls etc. (you would have to Grab and the closest would be like 10 mins away)
Also their pool and beach times close very early. (Pool closes at 8pm and beach 6pm) seems like a more family friendly place. Their breakfast buffet is really good with lots of variety.

"A beautiful stay. We had flights canceled and had to find accommodation, we were so happy to have stayed here the staff made everything so easy and relaxing for us. Melch, Hennessy, and Bj in particular, nothing was a problem. The managers were checking in throughout our stay to make sure all was ok. The facilities are great, it’s clean and the food is very good definitely do the breakfast here.
